Campooz Fat Freddy (2023) - with 3 bikes on the drawbar

Hi, (sorry again for the English post - feel free to reply in Dutch, Google Translate is my friend!)
We just bought a 2023 Fat Freddy and want to carry 3 bikes (2 adults, 1 child of 8yrs) on the drawbar.
Apparently its possible?
I've bought an adapter to allow a standard tow-ball mount rack to be fitted.

Does anyone have experience with fitting 3 bikes in this way and if so which bike rack did you choose.

I don't know how long the drawbar is on this model, but perhaps consider mounting the carrier directly onto the drawbar. This lowers the amount of points where movement is possible, which should be safer. The trailer actually came with the 2bike version of what you recommend above (https://www.anwb.nl/webwinkel/p/100342/thule-fietsendrager-caravan-superb-short) - which can't be expanded unfortunately, so would have to swap. But actually we want the flexibility to swap the carrier from the trailer to the car once we're at the destination.

But I appreciate your point about safety.

I would though like to know if anyone has used the tow-ball mount with three bikes - to know at least if its feasible...

I would also go for the thule superb 3 bike option. (Which i did myself).
I also tried the tow ball option you prefer (tested it on our holtkamper) , but found it less stable and expect it will be heavier too (keeping the weight on the towbar in mind).


Maybe you can test a 3 bike bikecarrier at a thule dealer to see how it fits on your campooz with the tow ball option
